Refund and Withdrawal Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
MerginIT does not promise an additional voluntary refund window. Mandatory withdrawal, warranty, and refund rights under applicable law remain fully available.
1. Identify the sales channel
The provider named in checkout and on the receipt processes the transaction. Use the receipt or buyer portal to reach that provider, and copy support@merginit.com when the request also involves product delivery, a licence, or a technical defect.
- Lemon Squeezy: use the order email or Lemon Squeezy buyer support for a direct Dupe Zappa purchase.
- Polar: use Polar support for Brand Peel or Markdownblog purchases.
- Paddle: use paddle.net for OCRMD purchases.
- Microsoft Store: use the Microsoft account order history and Microsoft Store support for a store purchase.
Provider-specific buyer terms may grant additional rights. See the Payment Providers page for current links.
2. EU and EEA consumer withdrawal
Consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. For digital content supplied immediately and not on a tangible medium, that right may end once performance begins only where the consumer gave prior express consent to immediate supply, acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right, and received the legally required contract confirmation. If those conditions were not met, the statutory right is not treated as waived merely because the product was delivered.
Other countries may provide different mandatory rights. The checkout provider applies the law relevant to the transaction. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Faulty, misdescribed, or undelivered products
Withdrawal rights are separate from statutory warranty and conformity rights. Contact support promptly if a product is not delivered, does not match its description, is defective, or cannot be used on a supported system. Include enough information to reproduce the problem. MerginIT and the seller will provide the remedy required by applicable law, which may include correction, replacement, price reduction, or refund depending on the circumstances.
4. One-time purchases and subscriptions
A one-time perpetual software licence has no recurring subscription to cancel. If a product is sold as a subscription, cancellation stops future renewals according to the provider and product terms but does not by itself create a refund for an already-paid period. Mandatory withdrawal and warranty rights still apply.
5. How to make a request
Send the seller shown on the receipt, and optionally MerginIT, the following:
- product name and order reference;
- purchase date and email address used at checkout;
- checkout provider or store;
- whether the request is withdrawal, non-delivery, defect, duplicate charge, or another issue;
- for technical issues, the app version, Windows version, and a concise description.
For an EU withdrawal request, a clear message is enough. For example:
I hereby withdraw from the contract for [product], ordered on [date], order [reference]. My name is [name] and the purchase email is [email].
6. Effect of a refund
When a purchase is refunded, access and associated licences or entitlements may be revoked. The software must no longer be used unless another valid entitlement applies. Refunds are normally returned through the original payment method by the transaction provider.
7. Abuse and payment disputes
The seller or MerginIT may request reasonable verification and may investigate suspected fraud, duplicate claims, chargeback abuse, or unauthorized use. This does not restrict a genuine statutory claim or a lawful payment dispute.
